Jojje Olsson is a Swedish journalist in Asia since 2007 and is not only author to several books, such as “Taiwan: den okända och hotade demokratin” and “Det nya Kina: Den repressiva stormakten”. Jojje Olsson also runs Kinamedia, the biggest news media in Swedish on Chinese news.
In a situation when Taiwan’s security situation is increasingly strained, a presidential election will take place in January. We will discuss how the threat from China has changed in near time, how Beijing might try to influence the outcome of the election, how the different presidential candidates view the relationship with China, and what other issues are important for the Taiwanese electorate.
