2022 has been a cruel mistress to listed companies that don´t make money but were riding on expectations of future profits. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, goes the new motto.
For retail investors in the stock market, we have to dodge both rising interest rates and soaring inflation, especially in energy. It´s more important than ever to know what you own and why. Just as a rising tide lifts all boats, when it recedes – even the most seaworthy of crafts sink in unison.

Which are the most seaworthy companies – in stormy seas or calm? What information do we need to make that judgement?
We´ll address these questions using individual companies to arrive at some actionable buy/sell/hold conclusions.

Do you want to live a non-traditional lifestyle, build up an extra income without having to work more hours or just be more financially secure and sleep well at night?

Join the chamber for a series of after-work introductory talks on personal finance, investing and valuing publicly traded companies. Speaker – Chamber member and Do-It-Yourself Investor Johan Skarendal.

Regardless if you’re a beginner, have been investing for a while or thinking about it but don’t know where to start, discussing investments with others and getting a few tips can get you a long way.

During this event, we will go through topics including but not limited to: Mindsets about money, household financial habits, the Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement, the craft and process of investing, judging the quality and fair value of publicly traded companies and more.

Given the Covid surge this will be a hybrid event. In person for those who wants and live streamed for others.
