How it all started
Safeture was founded in 2009 by Lars Lidgren, a Professor of Medicine at Lund University. He had worked with disaster relief during the 2002-04 SARS outbreak, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, 2008 and Mumbai terror attacks. Lars realized that being able to convey vital information directly to persons affected by such incidents saves lives. Using world-leading technology and several important patents, a completely new travel security solution was created.
Today
To date, over 3,000 companies and other organizations have chosen Safeture to help safeguard their most important assets – their people. The main office remains in Lund, Sweden, with additional offices in Austria, Brazil, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Since 2014, Safeture is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
The Safeture Platform
A comprehensive, cloud-based platform that enables you and and your people to manage security risks together. In a world characterized by globalization, digitalization and increased mobility, work is no longer a place. As the workplace evolves, corporate security must evolve with it. With Safeture, you can leverage knowledge and information to secure a safe working environment for your employees – wherever they are.
The Safeture app
The Safeture App provides your employees with real-time security and safety information, empowering them to plan ahead and avoid incidents that may affect their travel plans or personal safety. Employees who choose not to use the mobile app, can still access the platform through a web browser, and receive notifications via SMS and E-mail.
