Meet our members: Epiroc

Epiroc means at or on rock (岩), coming from Greek and Latin roots. It reflects Epiroc’s core business, proximity to customer and the strength of Epiroc’s partnerships.

Yesterday, our CEO Fredrik Boye met with Mr Hoe An Liu, who’s the Taiwan Operations Manager, to discuss Mr Hoe’s experience of doing business in Taiwan and their most current exciting infrastructure projects such as the completion of several tunnels around Taiwan to make commuting and transportation easier and more environmentally friendly, renovation of water reservoirs supporting Taipei City, New Taipei City and Tainan to allow you to draw even higher quality water from your tap.

Epiroc is a leading global productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. Even though few of us pay attention to the make of heavy equipment, they are in use all over Taiwan and the world, so be on the lookout! With cutting-edge technology, they develop and produce innovative, safe and sustainable drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment, and tools.

Epiroc Taiwan also provides a world-class on the ground service organisation and solutions for automation and interoperability where an area, which seldom gets the attention of most citizens – decommissioning of nuclear facilities. If you think about it, you wouldn’t want to go near such a work site, let alone operate heavy machinery close to an old nuclear reactor. That’s why Epiroc supplies industrial machinery, which is remotely operated from a safe distance.

Mr Hao, we are proud to have Epiroc as a member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei, and look forward to continue working with you to build cost efficient infrastructure in Taiwan.
